Salary: £85,000 - £100,000 per annum + OTE
About the Role:
We are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing leader in Generative AI, Data, and Cloud innovation. Specialising in AI-driven solutions, they empower organisations to unlock new opportunities, streamline operations, and make smarter decisions.
As Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales strategy, expanding market reach, and ensuring clients harness AI for sustainable growth. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of AI transformation in a rapidly evolving market.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth:
- Generate £500k+ in ARR within the first 12 months by acquiring and expanding SMB and enterprise customers.
- Focus on a land-and-expand sales motion to grow the UK and Ireland market.
Sales Strategy:
- Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy for securing pilot customers in both SMB and enterprise segments.
- Secure at least 5 SMB contracts and 2 enterprise accounts within the first 6 months.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a cohesive market development strategy driven by customer engagement.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Own pipeline forecasting and performance metrics, maintaining a 3x pipeline coverage ratio and consistent deal progression.
Long-Term Responsibilities:
- Grow the Sales Team – Transition from an individual contributor to a player-coach, recruiting and mentoring a high-performing sales team.
- Market Expansion – Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to penetrate new industries and geographies.
- Sales Process Optimisation – Continuously refine sales processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
- Investor Relations – Work with executive leadership to present sales performance and growth strategies to investors.
Candidate Profile:
- New Business Wins – Proven track record in driving sales and securing new clients.
- Leadership Experience – Minimum 5+ years in a sales leadership role within a B2B company.
- Cloud Services Expertise – Strong background in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- UK Market Knowledge – Must understand the UK cloud services landscape.
- Technical Background – Experience working with AWS as both a supplier and seller.
- Proven track record of generating £1M+ ARR in a startup or scale-up environment.
- Experience selling highly technical solutions (ideally AWS or AI) to CTOs, CIOs, and VPs of Engineering.
- Established network within UK SMB and enterprise companies.
- Strong understanding of sales enablement tools, data analysis, and forecasting.
- Experience building and scaling sales teams from scratch.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving growth in a fast-paced environment.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to commute daily to the Shoreditch office.
Technical Skills:
- Solid business experience with AWS services and solution stack (AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification is a plus).
- Experience with cloud and AI-driven solutions.
- Familiarity with sales technologies and CRM tools.
