We’re recruiting on behalf of a global leader in construction products and industrial technology for a Roof Truss Design Specialist to join their expert team.

You’ll provide high-quality design and technical support across software and connector product ranges, working closely with both customers and internal teams.

This role is ideal for a proactive, self-motivated professional looking to become a subject matter expert within the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and design support via the customer helpdesk.
• Produce roof, floor, and wall designs, including remedial solutions based on client specifications.
• Create bespoke design solutions tailored to individual project requirements.
• Support customers and internal teams with complex design, engineering, and software queries.
• Collaborate with Technical, R&D, and Software teams on engineering discussions.
• Capture and develop technical knowledge from senior experts to support future capability.
• Identify trends in customer queries and contribute to continuous service improvement.
• Review software releases and provide feedback to development teams.
• Maintain and contribute to technical portal content and knowledge resources.
• Support onboarding of new customers, guiding them through systems and product usage.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in roof truss, floor, or timber frame design.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
• Experience with specialist truss or timber design software (essential).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Confident communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Highly organised with strong time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
