About the Role
We’re recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a highly regarded, forward-thinking professional services organisation. This role supports strategic growth across key sectors including Energy & Infrastructure and/or Mobility, Logistics & Manufacturing.
Sitting within a collaborative Business Development and Marketing function, you’ll play a key role in driving client growth, strengthening relationships, and delivering insight-led campaigns. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to shape sector strategy, identify opportunities, and support long-term revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify and deliver growth opportunities across target sectors.
- Develop and execute business development and marketing plans aligned to sector strategies.
- Build strong internal relationships to support cross-selling and collaborative initiatives.
- Lead targeted campaigns, thought leadership, and sector-focused content initiatives.
- Support bids and new business opportunities, including preparation of proposals and credentials.
- Develop relationships with external networks, industry bodies, and referral partners.
- Deliver client listening initiatives and support key account development.
- Manage sector budgets, ensuring effective use of spend and measurable ROI.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with PR, communications, and research teams to enhance brand visibility.
- Provide reporting and insights to support performance tracking and decision-making.
- Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in business development and/or marketing within professional services.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders.
- Strong communication and content development capability.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Analytical mindset, able to interpret data and translate insights into action.
- Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience or interest in sectors such as Energy, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, or Logistics (desirable).
