About the Role
We’re recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join a growing, fast-paced business within the supply chain and reusable packaging sector. This role sits within the Customer Service Team and plays a key part in delivering an efficient, accurate, and supportive service to customers across logistics, retail, transport, and production.
As a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll be responsible for managing incoming enquiries, resolving issues, processing orders, updating customer accounts, and ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard. You’ll work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and provide a seamless customer experience.
This is an ideal role for someone who is organised, proactive, detail-focused, and enjoys working in a busy environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support & Communication
- Act as a key point of contact for customer enquiries via phone and email.
- Handle queries professionally, ensuring quick and accurate responses.
- Log, investigate, and resolve customer complaints or issues.
- Provide product, service, and account information to customers.
Order & Account Management
- Process customer orders and updates through internal systems (SAP experience desirable).
- Support customer onboarding and account creation, including documentation and checks.
- Maintain accurate account records, permissions, and pricing information.
- Assist with blocked order management by reviewing outstanding payments or credits.
Administrative Duties
- Complete all administrative tasks required to support customer activity.
- Ensure accurate completion of forms, transaction details, and internal documentation.
- Support supplier-to-retailer transactions, resolving discrepancies or queries.
- Carry out general office tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
Reporting & Data Support
- Prepare basic Excel reports and summaries for customer activity.
- Assist with data analysis to support customer or internal queries.
- Maintain and update internal tools and spreadsheets.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- SAP or logistics/supply chain experience (desirable, not essential).
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Able to work calmly under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Customer-focused with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
