About the Role

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading professional services organisation seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join their team on an 18-month fixed-term contract.

This is a strategic and commercially focused role, partnering with senior leaders across a complex corporate division and multiple specialist business areas. You will play a key role in driving the people agenda, supporting organisational performance, and influencing decision-making at a senior level.

The successful individual will be a credible and confident HR professional who can build strong stakeholder relationships while also being willing to challenge constructively when required. Whilst this role is initially offered as a fixed-term contract, there is potential for longer-term opportunities as the organisation continues to evolve.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Business Partnering

  • Partner with senior leaders to deliver strategic and operational HR support across multiple business areas.
  • Influence and support business leaders in driving performance, engagement, and capability development.
  • Challenge and support stakeholders to ensure people decisions align with wider business objectives.
  • Build strong relationships across the wider HR function to deliver a seamless people experience.

Organisational Development & Change

  • Provide expert guidance on organisational design, workforce planning, and talent management.
  • Lead and support complex people initiatives and organisational change programmes.
  • Support succession planning and leadership capability development activities.
  • Contribute to wider people strategy initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Provide expert advice on employee relations matters and HR best practice.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Support managers in navigating complex people challenges and organisational change.

People Analytics & Commercial Insight

  • Utilise people data and insights to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyse workforce trends and provide recommendations to support business performance.
  • Align people strategies with commercial objectives and organisational priorities.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience operating as an HR Business Partner within a complex, matrix-style organisation.
  • Strong experience supporting senior stakeholders within professional services, legal, financial services, consulting, or similarly complex environments.
  • Excellent understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Demonstrated experience managing organisational change, workforce planning, and employee relations matters.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence and challenge at senior levels.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to align people strategies to business objectives.
  • Data-driven approach with experience using people analytics to inform decisions.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional services or legal sector experience would be highly advantageous.
