About the Role:

We are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established player in the manufacturing sector seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join their team. This role is key to driving sales growth by generating demand for electrical products with large contractors across the UK.

As a Business Development Manager, you will take the lead in identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and expanding the company’s customer base. Working closely with sales teams and channel partners, you will devise strategies to secure sales leads, support contractors, and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales growth and product targets aligned with both annual and long-term business goals.
  • Drive new business by generating demand for electrical products within the contractor market.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, securing new customers and expanding existing relationships.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company to contractors and channel partner sales teams, and building strong, lasting relationships.
  • Provide market insights and field-based support to both sales and marketing teams.
  • Work with key channel partners to deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Identify areas of risk from competitors and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Apply effective time and project management techniques, using proven methodologies to maximise results.
  • Continually seek opportunities for personal development and training to enhance your skills.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong sales, influence, and negotiation skills with a proven track record in business development within the manufacturing sector.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and entrepreneurial approach to managing your workload and achieving targets.
  • Charismatic, personable, and diligent in building relationships with clients and partners.
  • Good business acumen and professional manner, with experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Solution-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
