About the Role
We’re recruiting for a Learning & Development Coordinator to join the People team of a leading law firm on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit Learning & Development team while gaining valuable exposure to Early Talent initiatives, making it an excellent stepping stone for someone looking to build a long-term career within talent development.
Working closely with the Learning & Development team and the Early Talent Advisor, you'll support a broad range of development programmes, training initiatives, and early careers activities. From coordinating learning events and onboarding programmes to supporting apprentice recruitment and trainee open days, you'll play a key role in delivering an outstanding employee experience.
This role would suit someone with previous Learning & Development or L&D Administration experience, ideally gained within a legal or professional services environment, who enjoys variety, event coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Learning & Development Coordination
- Coordinate learning and development programmes across the business.
- Organise training sessions, workshops, and development events.
- Support the delivery of induction programmes for new starters.
- Prepare presentations, learning materials, and training resources.
- Manage training communications, bulk emails, and surveys.
Early Talent Support
- Support the Early Talent Advisor with apprenticeship and trainee initiatives.
- Assist with apprentice recruitment, including CV screening and interview panels.
- Coordinate trainee open days and "Come and See the Firm" events.
- Support wider early careers activities and engagement programmes.
Event Planning & Administration
- Coordinate L&D events from planning through to delivery.
- Arrange venues, meeting logistics, and attendee communications.
- Produce attendance reports and post-event feedback.
- Maintain accurate learning records and training documentation.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with managers and internal stakeholders.
- Respond to L&D and early talent queries across the business.
- Promote learning opportunities and development initiatives.
- Support the continuous improvement of learning programmes.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience within Learning & Development, L&D Administration, or L&D Coordination.
- Experience gained within legal or professional services is desirable.
- Exposure to Early Talent, apprenticeships, or graduate programmes is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience coordinating events, training sessions, or development programmes.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and keen to build a career within Learning & Development.
- Strong attention to detail with a customer-focused approach.
