Salary: £35,000 per annum + Bonus + Company Vehicle/Allowance

About the Role

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established business within the construction materials sector for a Business Development Executive to support growth across the South West region.

This is a new business-focused role, ideal for someone early in their sales career who is motivated, driven, and looking to build a long-term future in field sales. You’ll focus on opening doors, building relationships with contractors and trade customers, and driving product adoption across your territory.

With the autonomy to manage your own region and the support of an experienced internal team, this role offers a strong platform for development and commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and win new business opportunities across contractors, installers, and trade customers.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities within your territory.
  • Conduct site visits, customer meetings, and product introductions.
  • Develop relationships with new customers to drive repeat business.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new accounts.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and track sales activity.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
  • Deliver against agreed sales targets and growth objectives.

Candidate Profile

  • Some experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role.
  • Strong ambition to develop within a field-based sales career.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Resilient, proactive, and target-driven.
  • Well-organised with strong time management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable: Experience within construction, roofing, or building materials.
